In Southern CA where I live, as EV's become a dime-a-dozen I am seeing an increasing number of businesses install free chargers to draw in customers. I hope this trend continues, and I hope that people using one will go in and buy something in order to incentivize businesses to continue/expand the practice. It could really be a win-win, as the business potentially gets a captive customer (especially if it's somewhere nice to sit).

I don’t think this setup complies with home electrical regulations. Is your supply socket of EV standard and as I understand it that the socket o the extension has to be in a fixed position such as a wall. Glad you dropped your ampage.

Just programmed a shortcut on my wife's iPhone to "open the trunk" a.k.a. "boot". Right now, still struggling with trying to skip the confirmation question on her Apple watch before the command executes, because otherwise, it's pretty useless when arms are full of groceries. Anybody got the definitive answer of how to bypass the confirmation question on the watch so the voice command executes automatically?

Before removing the USB drive from the glovebox, I read that it's recommended to press and hold the dashcam icon on the screen until it turns grey. Similar to how USB devices require ejecting on Windows/MacOS to lower the risk of data corruption. Thanks for the demonstration of the Perception software.

We've now owned a VW ID.4 since a little more than half a year, living in Germany. We also do not have a home charger since we live in an apartment without private parking, however we do have a lot of public chargers nearby, which are free most of the time. It isn't particularly cheap to charge there. Charging is not an issue for us though.

How do we activate Siri or Google assistant in my phone from the Tesla. In my previous car the button on the steering activates my phone’s assistant.

The words "This is gonna open a new..." obscure the phone screen. When you say "Hold down any of these icons", I can't see what you're referring to.

That trip back home said 351 miles. Could you have mafe it with one decent stop? Just appears too much faffing about for me. Maybe the 'real world' range isn't quite there yet for me to change.
